Job Summary:

Symbiosis International University, Dubai is seeking qualified and passionate candidates for the position of Adjunct Faculty in Psychology within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background in psychology with expertise in the scientific foundations and professional practices of psychology, and an understanding of local contexts and psychological trends in Dubai.

The selected candidate will contribute to the teaching of undergraduate courses, specifically in areas such as Professional Practices of Psychology and Developmental Psychology, and actively support student learning, curriculum enrichment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach assigned courses in Psychology, ensuring academic rigor and student engagement.
  • Prepare course materials, assessments, and maintain academic records as per university standards.
  • Mentor and advise students, fostering their academic and professional development.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of the psychology program.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, quality assurance processes, and community engagement as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Psychology from a recognized institution.
  • Demonstrated teaching experience in higher education with strong student feedback and evaluations.
  • Specialized knowledge and experience in teaching Professional Practices of Psychology and Developmental Psychology.
  • Understanding of the Dubai market context, including cultural, regulatory, and applied aspects of psychology in the region.
  • Evidence of scholarly engagement or the potential to contribute to research and academic discourse.
  • Exceptional English communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with a diverse academic team.
  • Commitment to student-centered pedagogy and excellence in undergraduate education.

Research & Professional Development:

  • Conduct research in relevant areas and publish in reputed journals/conferences.
  •   Guide undergraduate student research and projects.
  •  Participate in faculty development programs and workshops.
